Earlier last month I received a phone call from a very enthusiastic Julie Lenarduzzi of BCA Certifiers asking me if I was interested in contributing to a fundraising benefit they put on once a year in support of Pink Ribbon Day. After a few conversations on the phone Julie and I decided to meet up in person and have a bit of a brainstorm and throw a few ideas around. The conclusion we came too was that I was to produce a number of fine art prints that could be auctioned off at the benefit dinner with the proceeds going to breast cancer research.
Then, of course we needed models and a location. Julie called in a few favours from friends and colleagues and rounded up a group of 9 of the best pink slip wearing, very cold whilst standing in a field models I have ever worked with :) (including Julie herself)! Another one of the models was the lovely Mya of “Dominic and Mya” fame (see blog post November 30 2008)
We shot out at the beautiful Mona Country Manor House in Braidwood.
Below are a few of the images taken on the day, for the photo geeks out there I shot this series on medium format film with my Mamiya RZ 6×7 camera.
