Every 12 to 18months I like to try and create a new body of fine art work and follow it up with a solo gallery show . Well, that time has come again! I officially invite you to the opening of my next show “I closed my eyes and saw this”. Art and the Heart – A Photography workshop by a boy and a girl

In about 3 hours ill be getting on a plane headed for Melbourne in preparation for Art and the Heart – A photography workshop by Dan O’Day and Samm Blake which I am holding with my good friend, um… well.. Samm Blake. The idea came about when we were sipping sake in a cute little bar in Tokyo last year, we discussed (as you do) most of the worlds most pressing issues such as, tuck-shop arms, finding the perfect pair of jeans, 80′s love ballads, the karate kid and then of course our world that is photography.

We decided that together we could offer something special to other like minded photographers/creatives and business owners, so we thought lets give it a crack and the response had been nothing less than overwhelming.

Since then, the Melbourne workshop has sold out and we will releasing another Australian date for later in the year. We will also be taking our workshop to New York in June (5 places left) and London in July (3 spots left) *there is another country on the cards and we will be announcing this in the next 2 weeks.

I am sooooo exctited for next week and what we have planned, i’m so excited to meet the crew coming along and share war stories while locked away in our creative little bubble (not gonna lie, i’m also pretty excited about the food).

Later this month I will be heading off to Cabo, Mexico to speak alongside some amazing talent at the WHAT IF conference. In addition to sipping tequila and working on my tan this event is scheduled to be nothing short than amazing. If you haven’t already done so you can register here.

Tatjana & Charles {Brooklyn NY}

A few months ago I spent some time in New York, I have so much to share to from my stay there and will share MUCH more in the next few weeks but for now, I would like you to meet Tatjana and Charles. They are dear friends of mine and it just so happens they are wedding photographers as well! If you would like to check out their work, click here. They live in Brooklyn New York and we thought it would be fitting to go for a wander around the Dumbo precinct for their Forever Session. They are two of the most amazing people anyone could ever hope to meet. Hopefully a little bit of their “amazingness” shines through in the pictures below, enjoy.

Meet Louise and Jason.. two amazing souls. The heavy rain on their wedding day had us all prisoners inside for the duration of the afternoon until finally the sky ran out of water and we made our escape. (Good things come to those who wait!)

Ally & Mike

Once upon a time there was a boy named Mike and a girl named Ally. They fell in love and planned to get married in Sydney and asked me to photograph it! Of course I told them I would love to spend their wedding day with them and we all lived happily ever after. I have to give a shout out to my home girl Kelly Tunney who came along and second shot this fairytale with me, she rocked it.

{Mexico} – The What If Conference

I am super extremely over the moon stoked to announce that I have been asked to speak at the What If Conference in Cabo, Mexico next year as one of “The Innovators”!!! (that’s better than a kick to the face right?) There are many reasons I am so excited about speaking at this conference. 1. I will be speaking along side some of my favorite names in the industry, Jesh De Rox, Jesse and Whitney of Our Labor of Love, Sarah and Chris Rhoads, Justin Lyon , Jaime Ibarra and of course Steve and Jen Bebb (More Innovators to be announced soon). 2. This conference is based around the philosophy of standing out from the crowd, not blending in, exercising imagination and courage to strengthen ourselves as creative’s, in turn strengthening our businesses. 3. I have a feeling this conference is going to be the start of something extremely special in this industry. 4. Its in Mexico!!!
